A Better Me

What a year! So, yeah I fell off the face of the planet and off the workout wagon for a while. I haven’t been eating as well as I should, BUT I’ve got a great handle on my portions so that has helped a lot. It has been about a month and some change since I haven’t worked out as intensely as I used to.

Nevertheless, I’ve managed to lose some more weight because I’ve been watching what goes into this body of mine. So much has happened my Tumbler fam that I didn’t want to bore you guys with a 10-page dissertation about what I’ve been up to so I decided to give you a few pics to summarize! I will be back at it tomorrow as I’m fighting an awful virus today and I can’t wait to share more achievements with you guys!

I’ve lost 28 pounds! CAN YOU BELIVE IT!?!?! I almost fell off the scale this morning!

I will put up a list of goals for 2013 as soon as I’ve really thought it through :) Love yall and HAPPY NEW YEAR! 

What a glorious Saturday morning! I don’t know why I was wide awake at 8am but I figured I might as well make the best of it! Awesome breakfast and a little video game action before my day kicks off :-) Need some fuel to work shoulders and arms today.. So happy tomorrow is rest.. Working out 6 days a week now is good for my energy level but it’s nice to be able to relax, ya know?

So after yesterday’s food rant, am I glad srcdoeslife talked some sense into me? Heck yeah! Because instead of giving into the madness I remembered what was more important: me. Yeah I could’ve had over processed meat and imitation cheese wrapped in bacon.  Instead I opted for this tasty and colorful meal. It’s got ingredients I can pronounce, wasn’t made in a lab first, and fuels this awesome journey I’m on!

So who is thebomb.com? Me, that’s who! And I’m gonna try to keep that in mind from now on..

Why on earth…

Does everything revolve around food?! I feel like I’m constantly getting bombarded with images of food.. If it’s not commercial after commercial of fast food and chocolate, it’s a giant juicy burger on the side of a bus! Everywhere I turn it’s in my face man…

Ever try to eat a rice cake while watching a Burger King commercial? Trust me it ain’t fun!

I skipped my workout yesterday and I’ve been feeling like such a lazy bum lately. Today I took no prisoners! Classic cardio + hips, buns, and thighs! 52min of solid exercise and I feel awesome. Let’s get it!

*sigh* it’s 12:15 I have to be up at 6 am for class and I can’t sleep!! Maybe it’s this tightness in my throat all of a sudden. Or the throbbing pain in my knee from the near accident on the bus ride home. Argh!! Feeling oh so restless right now. Hopefully this big ol’ cup of tea will calm me right down…

Chicken breast, steamed veggies, and bulgur. I’m really feeling the bulgur these days. So much lighter and more nutritious than just rice or potatoes. Lower calorie content too!

The thing I love the most about October…

All the awesome scary movie marathons on TV! I don’t do Halloween, but I sure do love a good horror movie :-) I’m gonna have to tear myself off the couch for an hour though and get some exercise in.

What’s your favorite scary movie?
As I live and breathe! The kangaroo pouch, spare tire.. Whatever you wanna call it  is almost no more! I’m not kidding myself I’m nowhere near a flat tummy but this sure is encouraging. This might just be the kick to shake me out of this laziness! Lord knows I’ve been struggling to get back into my routine!
